Among these, 23 are data channels (D channels) and one is a control channel (B channel). E1 is a digital transmission standard used primarily in Europe and other parts of the world. It carries 32 channels, each capable of carrying voice or data. Among these, 30 are data channels (D channels) and two are control channels (B channels).
