The frog will get out of the well on the fourth day. On the first day, the frog jumps 5 feet up and comes back down 4 feet at night, so it covers a distance of 1 foot (5 - 4). On each subsequent day, the frog follows the same pattern, jumping 1 foot up during the day and coming back down 1 foot at night. So, after three days, the frog will have climbed up a total of 3 feet, leaving it with only 17 feet left to climb in the well. On the fourth day, the frog climbs the remaining 17 feet and gets out of the well.
