VTP is Vlan Trunking Protocol used to replicate the VLAN
information(Database) with Cisco switches in the network. It
is Cisco proprietary, It can save your time but it is also
dangerous if you did not configure it correctly.

VTP is cisco properiaty messaging protocol which is used
for easy administration,when vlan creation , deletion and
modification occurs on VTP server switch,vtp propgate the
same information to its connected clients and clients of
vtp have the same information..

1.VTP is not a trunking protocol, its a VLAN managing protocol.
2.If you have to create vlan in a large no.of switches then
that vlan on one switch(server mode).That vlan will
automatically create on all switches but you have to keep
them as client.
3.It has 3 mode

transparent
4.If you want that no one can change vlan info in particular
switch then make them transparent mode.

impement in different switchs to configure one server is
configured and another client its updates inclient
automatically. and transparent it is to implemention of
local switchs.
