Jack & Jill went to the hill....In going to hill (upword Direction)...Jack went to the hill fi..

Answer / sudheer

first consider downwards: jill comes in 1hr and jack in 3hr. so x is 2hr.
now upwards:let speed of jack be '2p' then speed of jill is 'p'.
now (3/p)-(3/2p)=2 and hence jack speed is 2p= 1.5km/hr.

Jack & Jill went to the hill....In going to hill (upword Direction)...Jack went to the hill fi..

Answer / guest

Total Journey is 6km, so 3km upwords and 3km Downwords.

Getting Down:
Jill speed is 3kmph. So, he takes an Hour to get down.
Jack speed is 1kmph. So, he takes 3 hours to get down.

So x=2 hrs.

Climbing the hill:

Jack waiting time is x ie, 2 hrs.

So Jack went to top of the hill in 3hrs and Jill in 1hr.
