1)what is cdma technology? 2)how can cdma work? 3)history of cdma?..

Answer / augustus

1. CDMA(CODE DIVISION MULTIPLE ACCESS) technology is a
wireless technology used in transmission os signal from one
place to another with high secury and noise reduction.

2. CDMA works on the principle of Spresd spectrum.Herewith
the help of a CODE, data signal is spread like a noise like
signal which is unable to detect by others.it provides
security.Since the spreaded signal is below the noise level
noise has no effect on the signal.its provides noise reduction

3.CDMA was developed during second world war inorder to
transmit signals in military.high security provides a wide
application in military

1)what is cdma technology? 2)how can cdma work? 3)history of cdma?..

Answer / bhoopendra singh

Short for Code-Division Multiple Access, a digital cellular
technology that uses spread-spectrum techniques.

CDMA is a military technology first used during World War
II by English allies to foil German attempts at jamming
transmissions. The allies decided to transmit over several
frequencies, instead of one, making it difficult for the
Germans to pick up the complete signal. Because Qualcomm
created communications chips for CDMA technology, it was
privy to the classified information. Once the information
became public, Qualcomm claimed patents on the technology
and became the first to commercialize it

1) Short for Code-Division Multiple Access, a digital
cellular technology that uses spread-spectrum techniques.
Unlike competing systems, such as GSM, that use TDMA, CDMA
does not assign a specific frequency to each user. Instead,
every channel uses the full available spectrum. Individual
conversations are encoded with a pseudo-random digital
sequence. CDMA consistently provides better capacity for
voice and data communications than other commercial mobile
technologies, allowing more subscribers to connect at any
given time, and it is the common platform on which 3G
technologies are built.
2)it works on the basis of spread spectrum technology.
3)The second technology standard to consider is CDMA, which
stands for Code Division Multiplex Access. When the world's
first cellular networks were introduced using analog radio
transmission technologies such as Advanced Mobile Phone
System (AMPS) in the early eighties, it became clear that a
higher level of network capacity required accommodating
more user traffic within a tighter radio spectrum.

To accomplish that, the industry developed a new set of
digital wireless technologies-Time Division Multiple Access
(TDMA) and Global System for Mobile-that used a time-
sharing protocol. In essence, these technologies allocated
milliseconds of time to all users accessing the wireless
network. The move to digital network access, though, made
segmenting network usage by code rather than time feasible.
Under CDMA, all mobile network users received a unique code
that allowed them to access the network continuously rather
than intermittent, timed access.

How CDMA works
The words "code" and "division" are important parts of how
CDMA works. CDMA uses codes to convert between analog voice
signals and digital signals. CDMA also uses codes to
separate (or divide) voice and control data into data
streams called "channels."
These digital data stream channels should not be confused
with frequency channels.

In case of CDMA all users data will be multiplex and formed in to a single data is allocated to with codes. These codes are used as differentiating facters for de-multiplexing the data.
Here all users can make use of entire range of frequency and time slot.

1)what is cdma technology? 2)how can cdma work? 3)history of cdma?..

Answer / rakesh kumar

1. Communication systems use this technology for multiple access technique for cell phone usage. It is a combination of TDMA and FDMA technologies and is therefore a hybrid version of the two. In this technique there is a secured communication because it uses an individual pseudo-noise sequence for each subscriber to the service. This technique is called digital sequence spread spectrum technology.

2. The original digital signal is converted to a higher frequency and this action tends to flatten or broaden the spread of the original spectrum in the frequency, also called a domain. As a result, the signal is visible as a noise but because of the pseudo-noise sequence the receiver does not hear this noise. This technology has drastically increased the number of subscribers that can exist in one cell. It also provides for a more secure communication link.

3. CDMA was developed during second world war in order to transmit signals in military high security provide a wide application in military.
