Waht is polarization, explain verical and horizantal?

Answer Posted / shweta

Polarisation indicates the direction of electic field at a
given point as a function of time.

When a wave travels in z direction with electric and
magnetic feild lying in xy plane it is said to be
horizontally polarised wave.here Ey=0 and Ex is present.

If Only Ey is present and Ex is 0 then it is called
vertically polarised wave.
