what is the purpose of inter cooler in multistage compressor
Answer Posted / shibin augustine matthew
Intercoolers are used to reduce the temperature of the incoming refrigerant from the previous compressor so that the volume of the previously compressed vapour refrigerant reduces and work requirement on the next compressor get reduced this result in less input power requirement. A separator is also used along with it to prevent the entry of any liquid refrigerant to next compressor.
