1 cu.feet wall-9 inches
Ans
Brick without mortor:
Brick in cu.feet=(9/12)×(4.15/12)×(3/12)
= .0648 cu.feet
Brick with mortor:
(.4 Inches as mortor)
Brick in cu.feet = (9.4/12)×(4.45/12)×(3.4/12)
= .0823Cu.feet
Volume of mortor:
= Brick with mortor-brick without mortor
=.0648-0.0823
=.0175
Mortor need for one brick =.0175cu.feet
BRICK FOR ONE Cu.feet
=1/.0823
=12.15=approximately 13✓
MORTOR FOR ONE Cu.feet
=13×.0175
=.2275cu.feet
RATIO-1:6
Volume of cement:
cement=(.2275/7)×1
=.0325cu.feet
=.0325×1440/50
=.936 bags
=approximately1bag
Volume of sand:
Sand = (.2275/7)×6
= .195 cu.feet
ADDITIONAL 10 PERCENTAGE OF WASTAGE CAN BE ADDED;
after adding wastage;
Cement in bags=1.1 bag
Sand in cu.feet = 2.145 cu.feet
