what will be the breaking capacity of MCCB of 1000kVA (6% Impedence) transformer? Voltage being 415V, Power Factor 0.8.

Answer Posted / asad84

1.it is not load related , so there is no meaning for the givving power factor

2.

Ik=1.1*[1000/[sqrt(3)*0.415*0.06]] = 25kA
