Harmonics is the frequency distortion. If 50HZ is called no harmonics. More than 50HZ is called Harmonics. It is callisifies as 2 types. Even harmonics, ie 2nd,4th,6th etc. (50HZx2=100Hz). Odd Harmonics, ie 3rd,5th,7th etc (50HZx3=150Hz). Generally even harmonics will not affect the system. Odd only affect. It can be measure by instrument called Power Quality Analysier.
