Advantages and Disadvantages of using fly ash bricks over
clay bricks?

Answer Posted / rajiv kaushik

I think big issue with flyash bricks is that, Cement is use in these bricks as binding agent. This cement has certain life that is 15 to 20 years. After that it losses binding effect and start powdering. This effect you find in old buildings where plaster of these buildings starts separating from walls. So similarly these bricks also get weaker and weaker over the period of time. Where as normal clay bricks contains same strength for very long time.
