What are the criterias for selecting piping for different utilities services like cooling water, DM Water, Service Water and Fire Water. Please provide some technical literature on that.

Answer Posted / phani

It is based upon flowing media and pressure

Based on media, material will be decided.
Based on Pressure, pipe line schedule will be decided.

If it is DM water, SS piping is preferable
If is Service/Fire water/CW, MS is preferable with required schedule

If you have more money you can select SS pipe also for the above applications.
