If i buy some material and the seller asks me my TIN number
what does that mean??
Is it my Taxpayers Identification number or it is my Tax
invoice number?
What does both of these stands for???

TIN-tax payer identification number, issued by commercial tax dept to all dealers and companies to monitor the tax paid status.
Tax invoice number mean it is mention in the purchasing bills for their (dealers) printed one, which is filed for auditing time.
