Lamps in street lighting are all connected in
a) Series
b) Parallel
c) Series parallel
d) End to End

Answer Posted / dipesh kumar

Street light bulbs are connected in parallel bcoz if we connect it in series then voltage across each bulb will not be same. As the no. of bulb will increase the voltage drops gradually across it i.e. the nearest bulb will glow higher and last will glow lower.
Second thing is that in series manner it is necessary to complete the circuit to pass the current further so if one bulb get fused circuit will be break current will not pass further.
But in parallel it does not happen therefore we prefer parallel connection.
