what is the difference between fc-tcr and tsc in facts

FC-TCR(Fixed capacitor Thyristor controlled Reactor) is the device in which rating of capacitor is fixed & it is decided according to load demand.it is used to supply extra reactive power to the load to make power factor unity and reactor is connected with series back to back connected thyristor. so reactor is varied continuously by partial conduction control of the thyristor valve. and it is comes in picture when light load or load is decreased at that time extra reactive power is absorbed by this reactor.
TSC(Thyristor Switched Capacitor) is shunt connected thyristor switched capacitor whose effective reactance is varied in a step wise manner by full or zero conduction operation of the thyristor valve.
