What would happen if the suction pressure is low in a
boiler feed water pump?

Answer Posted / vse

Boiler feed pump minimum suction pressure depends on its operating feed water temperature. At any case the feed water temperature should not over take the saturation point corresponding to its living pressure.

some time there is sudden collapse of pressure in the deaerator due to interlocks / protection , to over come this pump is generally given sufficient NPSH by position.
