In a slab where does the Uniformly Distributed Load (UDL) act?
Answer Posted / carlos soubie
The UDL, as its name indicates, acts over the entire area of
the slab. A good example of a UDL is the self weight of the
slab. If you have a live load of say, 100 psf, you should
apply 100 pounds over each square foot of your slab. That
is the meaning of "distributed".
