In an airframe assembly, whats the use of STRESS ANALYSIS
being conducted on newly designed component or modified
component...?
Answer Posted / pradeep
First of all, stress analysis is very important
irrespective of whether it is newly designed component or
modified component. When a simple automotive or any
component for that matter is to analysed for stress, then
why not airframe assembly which is a very complicated
structure with lot of mechanical components and
subassemblies and subjected to high loading conditions
during its operation.
Basically, stress analysis for any component is required to
understand its physical behaviour, strength of component to
withstand particular load in its life time and serve the
purpose for what it is designed for.
