T4 temperature is the point where the temperature is
measured in the turbine at 4th position.
1. Ambient temperature (Outside enclosure)
2. Gas generator inlet temperature
3. GG air outlet temp (Where P2 measures)
4. HP to LP (PT) turbine temp (After fired)
This is used to measure the temp of hot gas passes out from
the HP turbine, which has left side 4 probes & right side 4
probes.
It trips the compressor (Turbine) when there is 120deg c
difference between left & right avg.
It trips comp when avg temp goes more than 740 deg c (due
to air-fuel ratio).
These informations are partically observed from MAN TURBO
THM 1304 gas turbine.
