gyroscope is a mass rotating in such a way that only one point on it (c.g)remains stationary and it is free to change its orientation of rotational axis around center of gravity.
gyroscopic effect is a phenomenon wherein a a rotating heavy body offers a resistance in orientation of axis of rotation.
