SMPS converts the unregulated ac or dc voltage to the
regulated dc voltage using the rectifier.In the output of
the rectifier there is a filter to filter the voltage and it
can be send to the high frequency dc-dc converter.

Why should be the frequency 50 hz 60hz only why not others like 45, 95 56 or anything , why should we maintain the frequency constant if so why it is only 50 hz 60hz?
