extremely urgent please, why a fuse is used before
voltmeter but not with a ammeter connected to a CT(current
transformer),thanks in anticipation.

look man ... In c.t load is
connected to the primary
winding and ammeter is
connected to secondary
winding hence there no fuse
in c.t .... Similary there no fuse
in potential transformer as
the voltmeter is connected on
secondary side with closed
loop of secondary and
winding .... P.t is step down
transformer hence in this also
no fuse is used .... Its was a
trick question to measure
your knowledge
