SLR means statutory Liquidity ratio. As per banking rules every banking company in the India has to maintain equivalent to an amount which shall not at the close of the business on the day be less than 25% of the total of its net demand and time liabilities. Current SLR components are:
1.Cash in hand
2.Gold owned by bank
3.Balance with RBI
4.Net balance in current A/c
