1. HVDC IS USED AS A TIE LINES BETWEEN TWO AC TRANSMISSION
LINES.

2. HIGH POWER TRANSMISSION IN LONG LINES.

3. IN SUBMARINES.

4. HVDC IS USED BECAUSE SKIN EFFECT IS ZERO. WHY, BECAUSE
FREQUENCY IS ZERO.
