when generator of a power plant is not connected to grid ,
by increasing the mechanical torque speed of rotor increases
but when it's connected to load instead of increase in speed
current increases , why?

mech. pow. is converted into elec. pow. output volt. is
const. , pow. fact. should be kept const. so mech. power
increasing leads to increased current.
