FIRST OF ALL WE GIVE SUPPLY FROM AVR TO THE EXCITER THAT IS AC BUT WE CONVERT THIS AC INTO DC TO SUPPLY SLIP RINGS BRUSHES OF THE ROTOR.SO EXCITATION IS GIVEN TO THE ROTOR.
