what is the difference between potential Transformers and
capacitive voltage transfoemers and where it is used?

Answer Posted / masood babar

the purpose of VT & CVT are same. but CVT use for High
Voltage line because we know high voltage surging can
disturbe your metering & protection accuracy so that reason
we use CCVT or CVT it has many capacitor to damp & stablize
all voltage during Surging and give smooth voltage.
