transformer works on the concept of induction(mutual
inction);if we supply voltage at primary side of a
transformer secondary side of it is induced by the primary
side. and induction is produced due to random magnitude of
current inside of it. DC has a constant magnitude which is
unable to make a magnetic flus/ induction.
That's why transformer cant work at DC.
