generating station to consumer and a RMU(Ring Main Unit)is
a method to connect more than one substation in which
substation are connected in a ring type structure known as
RMU.

What about when you have a vaccuum cleaner intake flush against a floor, a room fan sitting directly against a wall, or a power drill trying to drill through something too hard?
