Is it possible that in a switched network that any port of
the switch can be infected with any kind of viruses that
jamed and create more traffic in network which cause slow
network performance?

Hi,
Switch is a Configuring device similar to Router .In switch
one can increase and decrease Port bandwidth by configuring
switch.On a particluar port one can configure port speed by
default it will be 100 Mbs one can decrease the port speed
on particluar port on switch.One can check their switch
configuration.
