in the first answer types of earth according to construction are given
according to operational safety point of view are these
1.fixed earth
these are the earths installed by the manufacturer or during erection and use to earth that equipment these are further classified as
I.earth isolator: motor driven earth switches
II.earth switch : hand driven earth switches
2.primary earth
these are the portable earths which are used to earth the equipment under maintenance other then fixed earth.(as safety precautions) or if there is no fixed earth available beyond safety distance
3.Drain earth
when ever we are working in induction zone then this type of earth is used to ground the induction leakages.
