IN WHICH MODE THE TRANSFORMER WILL GET A MAXIMUM OUT PUT
VOLTAGE. ASKED FOR POWER GRID EXAMINATION
STAT-STAR,STAR-DELTA,DELTA-STAR,DELTA-DELTA
Answer Posted / manish
Delta-Star
In Delta Primary Winding the Line Voltage is same as the
Phase Voltage (Let V volts), the transformation ratio is
same for all configuration (Let V'/V) & in Star Secondary
Winding the Line Voltage is SQRT(3) times of Phase Voltage.
Thus if Input Voltage is V
Then Delta Primary Phase Voltage = V volts
After Transformation Star Secondary Phase Voltage = V'
Thus Star Line Voltage = v' x SQRT(3)
