hello this is dhinakar i am completed my instrumentation
engg . recently i got job in sugar industry side. i like to
ask one question can any one say what are the things i have
to follow know more about industrial instrumentation,,,,,,,

hi,congrats
always carry a notebook and pen with you
observe each and every instrument in the plant
make a note of all instruments you see day by day
try to find out its function input output range and use make
a note of that.
study the entire plant working process.
apart from above learn this
calibration of pressure,temperature gauges.
calibration of all types of transmitters like
pressure,level,temp and flow transmitters.
Calibration of thermocouples and rtd.
installation of all transmitters,thermocouples ,gauges.
PID,ON-OFF controllers use and programming.
loop checking and pre commissioning procedure.
functions of HART communicator,Fluke and dead weight testor.
PLC ,SCADA AND DCS
all of the above may not be available in your plant but its
the must thing for an instrumentation engineer to know.
