The synchronous speed of a motor with 6 poles and operating
at 50 Hz frequency is ___.
Answer Posted / p
Since we know Ns = (120xf)/p
Ns=synchronous speed in r.p.m.
f=supply frequency in Hz
p=no. of poles
so
Ns= (120x50)/6
Ns=6000/6
Ns=1000rpm
