what is the relationship between psi,cfm & bar in the air
compressor?
Answer Posted / pankaj singh pathania
capacity is calculated by cfm & pressure is calculated in psi & bar
CFM = Piston displacement x (1+m-m(pd/ps)exp1/n)
m= percent head clearance expressed as a decimel
pd = discharge pressure = psia x .069 = BAR
ps = suction pressure = psia x .069 = BAR
n=1.2 to 1.35
& 1 bar = 14.50 psi
