my question is why this is done while the same is needed to
heat up again.

BECAUSE IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO CONVERT ENERGY WITHOUT TEMP. DIFF. GREATER BE THE TEMP DIFF. GREATER WILL BE HEAT ENERGY CONVERTED IN TO MECH. ONE ACCORDING THERMODYNAMICS LAWS .
ALSO WHEN EFFICIENCY IS CONCERN LOW PRESSURE HEAT ENERGY GIVE MORE TURBINE OUTPUT HENCE IT HAS TO RECYCLE AGAIN
