AC voltage only create magnetic flux in coils, but in Solenoid
coil how 24V DC volt create flux and pick the plunger

Minakshi i am bit agree with you but i think that when a
current passing through the wound coil a magnatic field is
develod which pull the iron plunger hence the contactor
pics. in any from of current AC or DC magnatic field will
be develop the only diffrence is that in AC wave form is
sinosodule & while in DC it is linear...Please correct me
if i am wrong
