What is the difference between KW & KVA ?

Answer Posted / sajid hussain

kw is the true power which is consumed in the circuit while the KVA is the product of rms value of the voltage and current
known as apparent power.
Kw= v*i*cosA/1000 1- Phase
Kw= Sqrt3*v*i*cosA/1000 3- Phase
KVA = KW/CosA
KVA=VA/1000
Here Cos A = Power factor
