PID : It is punture insulator detector.
Working : on energised line these PID is moved on insulator
string which measure the voltage gradient against each disc
and from there we can find the punture insulator through
graph.

if you are in a software company,then why do you want to come in a core company like sail, ntpc(where lots of trouble like tension but you have a good life in a it company) ?
