how many amps in 1KVA?

Answer Posted / sanjay singh artemis health i

Mr Ram
its depend on voltage & system is single or 3 phase
but i am giving example for 3 phase 415 V
P= 1.732xVxIxcosQ for 3 phase
so first we need change the KVA to KW
1kva = 1x.8(pf)
=.8kw or .8x1000 Watt
I am giving example .
considering,
V=415VOLTS
3-PHASE
P.F=08
P=1.732xVxIxCOSQ
I=.8x1000/1.732*415*08
I=1.39amps

ok
