what is the different between opamp, comparator and
amplifier?
Answer Posted / khurram_bhati01
OP-AMP IS BASICALLY AN IC, E.G 741 WHICH HAVE THE FOLLOWING
CHARACTERISTICS.
HIGH INPUT IMPEDENCE
LOW OUTPUT IMPEDANCE
HIGH GAIN
AN OP-AMP CAN BE USED AS AMPLIFIER AND AS A COMPARATOR.
THESE ARE ITS APPLICATION.
IN AMPLIFER MODE ITS JUST AMPLIFY THE INPUT SIGNAL.
IN COMPARATOR MODE IT IS USED TO SENCE THE TWO INPUT
VOLTAGE, ONE IS REFERANCE AND OTHER VARIES. COMPARATOR
CHANGES ITS OUTPUT STATE AS THE VARING VOLTAGE INCREADED OR
DECREASED FROM THE REFERANCE.
