ERW - Electrically resistive welding - sheet rolled to pipe
and long seam welded or strips rolled and spirally welded.
Normally pipes with DN more than 350 / 400 will be spirally
welded.
Schedule - Pipes will be normally mentioned by NB or DN
with Schedule no. like 10, 20, 40, 80 referring wall
thickness
Seamless Pipe - Pipe made from billets directly - hot &
cold extruded. Mainly used for high pressure applications.
IBR Grade Pipe - Pipes that are used for applications comes
under IBR. Describes the application, pipe manufacturing
standards, quality, MOC.
