How to calculate the current carrying capacity of
electrical cables

For calculate the current carrying capacity.
First we should calculate the cross section area of the
conductor (sq.mm) and conductor material used in cable.
Each and every matals are having its own current carring
capacity. This table is avail at IS.
Current carring capacity may reduce by some other factors
like the cable length and insulation's heat withstandable
capacity.

In Power Line Communication (PLC) the wave trap is used to block communication signals from entering neighboring lines. My question is this: Why do they allow for different filtering arrangements on these wave traps? Isn't it always going to be a low pass filter since we want the power frequency to go through, and the comm signal blocked?
