While making a metallic component or while modifying them
an internal stress will be caused due to drilling,
riveting, hammering, shaving, milling or any similar
actions. This internal stress sometimes may exceed the
yield strength of the metal, so annealing (reheating and
slow cooling) is carried out to release the internal stress
in the component to avoid fracture. This is a process of a
stress analysis .
In simple words
this stress analysis is carried out to avoid the the
material to break by itself.
