What is power factor? Whether it should be high or low ?
why?

Power factor means cosine angle between vtg & current. It also derive from Active power/apprant power(i.e.KW/KVA )
In electric power system, power factor should be more (i.e.nearly one).low power factor have more current compare to actual current.Actually Inductive load like Induction motor have a Lagging power factor which help the decreasing the power factor. Also electricity board take the penalty for low power factor.
