what is the difference in MCB, MCCB, RCCB, ELCB, & MPCB
(motor protection circuit bracker)
Answer Posted / prajapati
MCB - Miniature Circuit breaker, is having overload and
s.c. protection & used in domestic application
MCCB - Moulded case Circuit breaker, is having overload and
s.c. protection & used in Industrial application & Having
high s.c. capacity
RCCB : Residual current operated circuit breaker, is used
for protection against electric shock
ELCB : Earth leakage circuit breaker & is same as RCCB
MPCB : Motor protection circuit breaker, is used for
protection of motor, having s.c. and overload protection
more effective to protect motor
