What is power factor? Whether it should be high or low ?
why?
Answer Posted / manu srivastava
power factor is cosine of the angle between V and i i.e.,
cos (phi), where phi is the angle between V an I.
power factor dends upon the circuit, weather it is
inductive, capacitive or resitive. if it is inductive p.f is
lagging i.e., i lags v.if its is capacitive, p.f. is
leading,i.e., i leads v,for resitive, v and i are in phase
with each other.
