Its the protection scheme used for Power Transformers to
detect internal faults n also termed as Differential
Protection. If there is difference in currents on HV and
corresponding LV side of transformer of the same phase,
protection will operate.

in my industry we are using 3 step up transformers for induction heaters..i.e 415/580v and other are 11/440v.in power consumption does a step trnsformer makes any difference compared to step up?? plz explain
