On what factors the generating voltage depends ?
Generating voltage are (3.3kV, 6.6KV , 11KV, 13.8kV) Why so ?
Answer Posted / atreya
generating voltage= (P*B*N*Z)/ (60*A)
where,
P= no. of poles of the m/c
B= flux or excitation given
N= speed of rotation
Z= no. of conductors
A= no. of parallel paths for flow of current
(for lap wound m/c s: no. of paths= no. of poles)
(for wave wound m/c s: no. of paths= 2)
