As per the Farada's the motor is working.
we applying the power to stator so it produces amagnetic
flux, this flux cuts the rotor(the rotor is short circuited
by end rings)so it produces a EMF. the difference between
the stator & rotor(act as north pole & south pole)so the
motor is running
